About Me

I was born in Ningbo, a Southern coastal city in China. I came to the States when I was 20, and I am currently a student studying political science and cognitive studies at Vanderbilt University. Passionate about studying political philosophy and comparative politics, I am also deeply attracted and inspired by the ever-growing possibility yielded by new technologies. I believe in the power and changes that products can exert and bring to the world, and I am always looking for opportunities to be more engaged.

Projects

Here are some of the projects that I've been working on...

Product Space @ Vanderbilt

Product Space @ Vanderbilt was founded in Spring 2021 as a part of a nationwide network of students who are enthusiastic about product management. We strive to build up a supportive community of future product leaders and designers who are committed to facilitating new advancements in the industry. Through our fellowship programs and Panel 101, students and members will have opportunities to learn and grow as product-oriented individuals and leaders. I joined product space in Spring 2022. As the community director, I am responsible for cultivating and running an engaged intra-university community of future product leaders.

HumanitieX

HumanitieX is a humanities summer program under X Academy, a student-found academic organization in 2016 that strives to create a better and more equitable learning environment for future Chinese youth. To XAers, rules and conventions do not apply. Students are encouraged to explore pioneering fields in different areas of study, produce and showcase their capstone projects, and learn to develop their creative potential to the maximum. Past programs include but are not limited to AI Ethics, Film and Technology, Science Fiction Literature, and etc..

The Body Project

The Body Project is a peer-led body-acceptance program designed to help young women recognize unrealistic beauty standards and resist cultural pressures to conform to these harmful ideals. Trained Body Project interns facilitate workshops on the unique challenges women on Vanderbilt’s campus face in regards to body image. As an intern, I am deeply moved and convinced by the importance of services like such. I wish to continue promoting body acceptance and positivity in my life in the future.
